Mrs. Maisano
I have taught in the Clawson School District since 1992. I am a graduate of the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor with a Bachelor's degree in History with minors in both Spanish and Social Science. I have a Master's Degree in the Art of Teaching from Marygrove College in Detroit. I also have completed all of the coursework for a Master's in Educational Psychology and Counseling from Michigan State University. So, I have the unique privilege of attending both U of M and MSU.
Throughout my teaching career I have taught Spanish 1, 2, 3, 4, and independent study. I also taught a Spanish Class for Elementary School students over a school's cable channel which was a unique and fun adventure. I have taught Civics, American History, Geography, Psychology, Economics, World History, Sociology and Current Events.
Throughout my teaching career I have also enjoyed getting to know students better through extra-curricular activities. I am currently the adult sponsor for "Seekers" CHS's after school Christian club. I have enjoyed coaching young athletes. I have coached middle school and JV volleyball, Varsity softball, Boys' Varsity and Girls' Varsity Tennis.
When I'm not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family, playing tennis, golfing and cooking.
I am a Christian. To me the world only makes sense know that there is a God and Savior. My faith provides me with strength and guidance and is a defining part of who I am.
