Today Mrs. Maisano was not here. We worked on organizing our binders for next weeks binder check.
We also worked on the pronunciation of the dialogues A - F on pages 28 and 29. We also translated those dialogues. Today I learned these words; la familia (family), el hombre (man), and el muchacho (boy).
I read the dialogue on pages 30-31 as the audio was played. I worked on understanding the meaning as the native speakers spoke (listening comprehension). As a class, we went over all the words in the dialogue that were new or tricky. I then watched native speakers perform the skit in the video. I was able understand the Spanish spoken well enough to get the overall meaning of the skit. I answer the question about the dialogue/skit on page 32 parte A y B 1-3. I placed this assignment in my binder. I received my Etapa Preliminar test results. I placed this graded test in my binder. I will study and retest if I didn't receive an A. I turned in my note about myself to Mrs. Maisano. It was graded and I will place it in my binder. I will continue to prepare the answers for the spoken test which we will take on Monday and Tuesday. The questions to this should be found in my binder. I began Unidad 1 etapa 1. I read through the learning objectives for this etapa to prepare me for the upcoming chapter.
Objectives; I will be able to greet others. I will be able to introduce others. I will be able to say where people are from. I will be able to express likes. I know the meaning of and how to spell. . . la chica, el chico and los amigos. I watched the introductory DVD which goes along with Unidad 1 Etapa 1. It helped me become familiar with the new vocabulary. I listened to the native speakers model the correct pronunciation on the CD. I heard the dialogues pronounced and listened to the new vocabulary. I wrote out a vocabulary list of all the blue font words on pages 28 and 29. I used page 47 to help me do this. Today, I took the Etapa Preliminar test.
I also began working on the written portion of the test which is due on Thursday. I am able to use my textbook and binder to complete the written portion. I will have Mrs. Maisano proof it before I turn it in on Thursday. I also began preparing for the speaking part of the test. I was given a list of 5 questions of which I will be asked at least 3. I can use any of my resources to prepare answers. However, I can't use anything to help me on the day of the test. I will be tested on Thursday, Monday or Tuesday. I practiced the days of the week and the numbers from 0-10. I need to know them for my test tomorrow. Today I wrote two greeting and three farewells, spelling each of them correctly.
I was able to list 5 of the countries where Spanish is spoken. I spell the numbers 3, 5, 7, 9 and 10 correctly and I was able to identify the days of the week in Spanish. I turned my Etapa Preliminar binder in for a binder check grade. It was worth 50 points. I worked with a partner on the review pg 18 - 19 1, 2, 3, and 4 for the chapter test (Tuesday). I organized my binder. It will be graded tomorrow. I made sure I had all of the elements needed so I can get an A on my binder grade. Below is the document that has each required element on it.
I went over each of my mas practica worksheets and checked them for accuracy. I placed them in my binder. I know that tomorrow I will have to write out 2 Greetings and 3 Farewells in Spanish without using any of my resources. Greetings - Hola, buenos dias, buenas tardes, buenas noches Farewells - Adios, nos vemos, hasta luego, hasta manana I will have to write out 5 of the Spanish Speaking countries. I can write them in English or Spanish.
I will have to be able to spell these numbers tomorrow without using any of my resources. 3 TRES, 5 CINCO, 7 SIETE, 9 NUEVE 10 DIEZ I will need to be able to identify the days of the week. I don't need to know how to spell them yet. I need to know that . . . lunes - Monday martes - Tuesday miercoles - Wednesday jueves - Thursday viernes - Friday sabado - Saturday domingo - Sunday I know that I have a test on next Tuesday over Etapa Preliminar.
I was introduced to the "frases útiles" on pages 14 and 15 in the textbook. I will be saying, hearing and reading these in class daily. I performed the dialogues on pages 4 and 5 with Mrs. Maisano for a quiz grade.
While others were testing, I completed my vocabulary sheets and placed them in my binder for my upcoming binder check. I know I will not be reminded about this again. I completed my Mas Practica worksheets doing Actividades 10, 11, 12, 16 and 17. I also double checked Actividades 1, 2, 4, 6, 7 and 9. These should have been completed already. I placed all of these in my binder for the upcoming binder check. I know these should be finished and in my binder. I rewrote my proof-read, partner dialogue out on notebook paper. It will be turned in for a grade on Thursday. I either took the ABC oral test or I continued to prepare for it and will take it Wednesday. I know that my binder will be collected and graded for 50 points later this week or early next week. I will be having a Chapter Test next Tuesday over Etapa Preliminar. |
