I practiced the days of the week and the numbers from 0-10. I need to know them for my test tomorrow.
Today we focused on three things; a written quiz, a speaking quiz and a binder-check. The written quiz contained the vocabulary in the etapa preliminar, the speaking quiz was reciting the ABC and the binder check. The binders needed to have these elements for full credit: The mas practica worksheet pages 1-6 (actividades 1-17), the dialogue sheet and the dialogue, the abc sheet, the vocabulary sheets (2), the day and numbers sheet, the textbook assignments page 9 #8, #9 and #11, page 13 #14, #15 and #16, page 18-19 #1, #2, #3, #4.
Today I prepared for two assessment I will have tomorrow; ABC speaking quiz and a written vocabulary quiz. We sang both the ABC and ¿De dónde es? songs. I did mas practica Actividades 12, 16 and 17. I placed this in my binder. I know that I will have a binder check tomorrow, also. I completed my dialogue and placed it in my binder.
Today I continued working with the vocabulary from etapa preliminar. I began writing a dialogue using these words and expressions. The details for the dialogue is posted below. I practiced my listening comprehension by completing mas practica actividad 8. We talked about the importance of being present during class. Put the phones away and join in the fun. I know that I have a quiz over the words and expressions from etapa preliminar on Friday. It is posted below. We accessed the classzone website and went over the flashcard. The classzone link is above in the "links" section.
Today Mrs. Maisano is at a conference. The plans for the lesson are below. I know that there is an ABC pronunciation quiz tomorrow, Wednesday.
Today we finished our assignment on page 9 #8, #9 and #11 and turned them in to Mrs. Maisano. We practiced the dialogues on pages 4-5 that we will be quizzed on tomorrow. The following are pronunciation guidelines that I will need to use to correctly pronounce the dialogues on pages 4-5. A - fAther (mouth open, jaw relaxed) E - thEy (mouth open, sideways oval shaped) I - machIne (corners of mouth tight, smiling) O - hOme (mouth makes an "O" shape) U - sUsan (mouth makes an "o" shape, bottom lip tight) H is silent V=B, B=V ll=y R, rr=trilled ge=h j=h We listened to the song that goes along with the expressions we learned yesterday. The lyrics for the song are posted below. ¿De dónde eres? - Where are you from? ¿De dónde es? - Where is she from? Soy de - I am from . . . Es de - He/She is from . . . We were introduced to the ABCs and the numbers from 0-10.
I learned how to ask someone where they are from and how to respond to that answer. I listened to the audio of the new phrases on pages 6, 7 and 8. ¿De dónde eres? - Where are you from? ¿De dónde es? - Where is she from? Soy de - I am from . . . Es de - He/She is from . . . I continued to learn the Spanish-speaking countries throughout the world. Page 7 has a map and list of the countries. I practiced the dialogues on pages 4-5 for the speaking quiz on Friday. I did page 9 activities 8, 9 and 11. I followed the model to complete the answers.
