Today I continued to work with the greetings, pleasantries and farewells. I improved my pronunciation on them. I know that on Thursday I will have to pronounce the mini-dialogues on pages 4-5.
I learned all of the countries where Spanish is spoken. I located each of these countries on the map.
I did activity 5 and 6 on page 5.
Hola - Hi
Buenos dia - Good morning
Buenas tardes - Good afternoon
Buenas noches - Good evening
Adios - Goodbye
Hasta luego - See ya later
Hasta manana - See ya tomorrow
Nos vemos - See ya
Como te llamas? - What's your name?
Me llamo - My name is . . .
Como se llama? - What's his/her name?
Se llama - His/Her name is . . .
Igualmente - Likewise/Equally
El gusto es mio - the pleasure is mine
Mucho gusto - pleased to meet you

I learned how to ask someone where they are from and how to respond to that answer.

De donde es? - Where is she from?
Soy de - I am from . . .
Es de - He/She is from . . .
